MODELS AFFECTED 

The current TIB model (AS000016A02) will be replaced with the new model (AS000016A06).  Mobile Radios compatible with this TIB:

• APX 8500 (High Power & Mid Power)
• APX 8500 All Band Consolette

The current TIB model (PMUN1083A) will be replaced with the new model (PMUN1083D).  Mobile Radios compatible with this TIB:

• Enhanced “BN” APX 2500
• Enhanced “BN” and “CN” APX 4500
• Enhanced “BN” and “CN” APX 6500

The current CHIB models for E5 (PHCN4003A) and O2/O7(PMUN1057B) are replaced with a new single Common CHIB model (PHCN4003E).  Control Heads compatible with this new CHIB:

• E5 Control Head
• O2 Control Head
• O7 Control Head

RESOLUTIONS AND REPAIR PROCEDURES 

The new TIB and CHIB require that the Radio and Control Head are updated with new compatible firmware version R30.04.00 or greater. Error message FL01-90, FL05-92 or FL05-93 will be shown with incompatible software.
